McLane Global is looking for a forklift operator who is experienced and comfortable using a stand-up reach truck and an electric pallet jack. This role is responsible for unloading trucks in a quick, safe, and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for getting products put away into racking, assisting on special projects, and loading outbound trucks. Must have at least 1 year of experience and be willing to be a team player. This role will be critical in providing world-class service to our clients and the daily performance of the warehouse operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely and efficiently operate stand-up reach trucks and electric pallet jacks.
• Perform daily functions of loading/unloading trucks, putting away, picking, and packing.
• Ability to use basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, and multiplying.
• Document damages, overages, and shortages according to company guidelines
• Ensure accurate order numbers and correct shipping labels are included on each pallet.
• Perform cycle counts as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness in and around the warehouse.
• Assist in all aspects of the business.
• All other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum experience of 1 year operating stand-up reach trucks and electric jacks
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to be on feet on cement floors for long periods of time.
• Must be safety conscience and operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Must be willing to work in a team environment.
• Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills in high-stress situations.
• Must be flexible to schedule changes.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently with general supervision.
• Able to read, write, and speak both English & Spanish fluently.

WORKING CONDITIONS 

• Must be able to transport up to 50lbs – Medium.
• Must be able to transport up to 100lbs – Heavy.
• Must be able to position self to kneel and crawl.
• Repetitive use of hands or body movement
• Stepping up and down, ascending/descending stairs on a forklift.
• Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, or typing.
• Must be able to position arms and hands above the head or to full extension.
• Grasping to apply pressure to an object with fingers, thumb, and palm.
• Exposures encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat/cold.
• Ability to walk (move) consistently for up to 8 hours.
