Job Description

We are looking for a detailed Inventory Auditor to ensure we have accurate counts of our inventory. In this role, you will review, and count merchandise received daily in the warehouse. You will physically and systematically verify material numbers, quantities, and supplier/customer tags. Additionally, RF Scanners. When you identify discrepancies, you must document it according to company protocols, work to find the source of the inaccuracy, and find ways to reduce or eliminate future inventory errors. You will be expected to produce and deliver auditing reports to your supervisor.

Role Responsibilities

  • Validate product to be delivered to customers as part of process to measure outbound loading accuracy
  • You will also assist in maintaining an acceptable error rate on orders shipped according to company guidelines
  • Perform random audits on select completed orders and verify that the product selected matches the order
  • Upon audit completion, ensure corrections are made to any errors discovered on the order being shipped
  • Communicate the improper placement of product to appropriate parties so resolution can take place
  • Must have attention to detail in receiving and shipping product
  • Audit freight coming in from vendor
  • Audit receivers for accuracy and report any discrepancies to DCM
  • Audit put aways for accuracy and report any discrepancies to DCM
  • Audit cycle counts for accuracy and report any discrepancies to DCM
  • Audit order builders stagged orders for accuracy
  • Document errors for all non-compliant processes
  • Works closely with Leads and Supervisors in process improvements / addressing audit issues
  • Ensure audited errors are corrected prior to shipping
  • Provide refresher training for associates as required
  • Systematically review compliance with warehouse Standard Operating Procedures
  • Provide recommendations for SOP updates as needed
  • Assist with implementing improvements to the picking and shipping process
  • Monitor and maintain data that can be used to improve the process within the DC
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Minimum experience of one year with inventory auditing
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Dynamics AX, Excel and Word
  • Able to read, write and speak both English & Spanish fluently
